What's an astronaut?

"An astronaut is a highly trained scientist, engineer or another qualified professional who explores the space, and has special missions in it." We all heard of it, NASA is the agency that trains United States' Astronauts (men and women!) to serve as commanders, pilots, and mission specialists aboard spacecrafts. "The term Astronauts is sometimes used to specifically describe someone working for the United States’ space program. Specialists from other countries’ space program are sometimes called by their own names; for example, in Russia they are referred to as cosmonauts and while in China they are known Taikonauts! In my blog, I will write more about what is to be an astronaut."
